Garmin LiveScope 2 Compatible Fish Finders & Chartplotters

Garmin LiveScope 2 Compatible Fish Finders and Chartplotters

The new Garmin LiveScope 2 works with a wide range of Garmin displays, and it connects with no black box. This page lists every LiveScope 2 compatible fish finder, chartplotter, and transducer Carolina Sportsman Outfitters carries, so you can match the newest live sonar to a display you already own or a new one.

LiveScope 2 has no black box

The previous LiveScope systems, the LVS32, LVS34, and LVS62, sent sonar through the GLS10 black box. The new LiveScope 2 transducers, the LVS44 and LVS42HD, carry the processing inside the transducer, so they connect directly to a compatible Garmin display and power source. On ECHOMAP and older GPSMAP displays, LiveScope 2 connects using the included GMN1 network adapter. On the GPSMAP 9000 series it connects natively over BlueNet. Either way there is no GLS10 black box, which means fewer boxes, fewer cables, and fewer connections to corrode.

LVS44 vs LVS42HD vs the Ice Fishing transducer

LiveScope 2 (LVS44) reaches farthest, tracking out to 250 feet with up to 20 percent more resolution and 25 percent more range, which suits open water and scanning farther from the boat. LiveScope 2 HD (LVS42HD) is tuned for close range out to 125 feet with up to 50 percent more detail for the fish right around your boat. The LiveScope 2 HD Ice Fishing transducer brings the same high-definition sonar to the hardwater with a short, flexible cold-weather cable.

Frequently asked questions

Does LiveScope 2 need a black box?
No. LiveScope 2 transducers have the sonar processing built in and connect directly to a compatible Garmin display. There is no GLS10 black box.

Will LiveScope 2 work with my current Garmin unit?
If your display is one of the ECHOMAP UHD2 sv, ECHOMAP Ultra or Ultra 2, or the listed GPSMAP models, yes. Older-network displays use the included GMN1 adapter; the GPSMAP 9000 series connects over BlueNet.

Should I buy the LVS44 or the LVS42HD?
Choose the LVS44 for the longest reach, out to 250 feet. Choose the LVS42HD for maximum close-range detail out to 125 feet. Ice anglers should look at the LiveScope 2 HD Ice Fishing transducer.

Do I need to buy anything else?
The transducer is sold separately from the display. LiveScope 2 includes the mounts and the GMN1 adapter needed to connect to a compatible chartplotter.
