The LVS42HD is Garmin's clearest live sonar yet, built for anglers who live on forward-facing sonar. Bottom track and forward view reach out to 125 feet in freshwater. The biggest change is what is missing: there is no GLS10 black box. The sonar processing lives inside the transducer, so it connects straight to a compatible chartplotter and power, which means fewer cables, fewer connections to corrode, and an install you can actually do yourself.
