Hybrid Compact vs Standard RICO HYBRID

The Hybrid Compact (HCH50R) is the upgraded evolution: smaller form factor, 10µm sensor (newer than the 12µm in the standard HYBRID), built-in LRF (no AC82 module needed), 60Hz Fast Engine processing, 1440×1080 display. The standard RICO HYBRID is older and lacks the integrated LRF. If you're choosing between the two, the Compact LRF is the current-generation premium option.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I really use it as a clip-on AND a weapon sight?

Yes. As a clip-on, it sits in front of a day scope (LPVO or higher magnification up to 10×) and your day reticle does the aiming. As a weapon sight, it mounts directly to the Picatinny rail and you sight through it with onboard reticles. As a monocular, you remove from rifle and scout terrain. The Bluetooth remote helps with clip-on operation when controls are reach-limited.

Why 10µm sensor vs 12µm?

10µm pixel pitch is newer technology than 12µm. The HCH50R's 10µm sensor packs 44% more pixels into the same physical sensor area, allowing higher resolution AND a smaller overall optic. The HCH50R is one of the first commercially available 10µm thermal weapon sights.

Is this ITAR-restricted?

Yes. Thermal weapon sights are export-controlled under ITAR (Title 22 CFR Part 120-130). US sales only. We cannot ship to international addresses.

What rifle calibers is it rated for?

Standard centerfire calibers: .223/5.56, .308, 6.5 Creedmoor, .300 Win Mag, .338 Lapua. For .50 BMG or other heavy magnum recoil, contact iRayUSA to confirm. The magnesium IP67 housing is built to take serious recoil.
