Common Questions
What does the G4N One-Boat Network version add? G4N adds One-Boat Network. It integrates with a Minn Kota i-Pilot Link trolling motor so you can share Spot-Lock waypoints and control functions, supports MEGA Live 2 forward-scan live sonar, and lets you network multiple Humminbird units. The G4 is a standalone unit without networking.
What is MEGA Imaging? MEGA Down and Side Imaging use higher frequencies than standard imaging for a much sharper picture. You can pick out individual branches in submerged timber, single rocks in riprap, and fish tucked into cover.
Side Imaging or Down Imaging, which do I need? Down Imaging gives a clear, photo-like view of what is directly beneath the boat, ideal for picking apart brush and structure you are sitting on. Side Imaging scans wide out to both sides to find fish and cover away from the boat. Many anglers want both.
Not sure which HELIX 7 or transducer fits your boat and electronics? Carolina Sportsman Outfitters has been outfitting anglers with Humminbird electronics since 2015, and we can match the right imaging, networking, and transducer to how and where you fish.
