A: The only difference is a built-in GPS chip. Without GPS (010-02246-00) streams sonar, depth, and fish marks but cannot build its own maps. With GPS (010-02246-02) adds GPS so you can create your own Quickdraw Contours maps as you cast. Same pod, same app, same range.
Q: Do I need a phone to use it?
A: Yes. The STRIKER Cast has no screen of its own. It streams to the free STRIKER Cast app on your Apple or Android phone or tablet over Wi-Fi, up to 200 feet away.
