Description
DNT Optics ZULUS HD V2 ZHD312R-V2 — 3–12× Digital Day/Night Scope with LRF & Ballistic Calculator
The DNT Optics ZULUS HD V2 ZHD312R-V2 is a compact, feature-loaded digital rifle scope that delivers 24/7 shooting capability with an integrated laser rangefinder (5–1,100 yards) and ballistic calculator. Built around the Sony STARVIS 2 sensor and a 1920×1080 Micro-OLED display at 60 Hz, it rivals traditional optical scopes in daylight and outperforms them after dark — providing clear, high-contrast digital night vision with a powerful VCSEL IR illuminator (850nm/940nm switchable) visible to 450 meters. The 3–12× magnification range covers everything from close-range hog work to mid-range predator calling, and the V2 generation adds a smooth digital zoom lever, upgraded 21700 battery (10-hour runtime), and stronger IR output.
Sensor, Display & IR

Frequently Asked Questions
ZHD312R-V2 vs. ZHD520R-V2 — which should I choose?
Same sensor, display, IR, battery, and LRF. The ZHD312R gives 3–12× magnification with a wider FOV (7.97° × 4.49°) — better for scanning, close-to-mid-range hunting, and situational awareness. The ZHD520R gives 5–20× with a tighter FOV (4.91° × 2.76°) — better for long-range target ID and open-country hunting. Same price, same weight class — pick the magnification range that matches your typical hunting distances.
Can the ZULUS HD V2 be used during the day?
Yes. The Sony STARVIS 2 sensor and ED glass optics produce full-color daylight imagery that rivals traditional optical scopes. The ZHD312R-V2 is a true 24/7 scope.
Is the 850nm or 940nm IR setting better for hunting?
940nm is completely invisible to game and humans. 850nm produces a faint red glow visible to NV devices but reaches farther. For hunting pressured coyotes or hogs, 940nm is preferred. For maximum IR range in remote areas where covertness is less critical, use 850nm.
