The 256x192 core and 25mm lens keep it light and fast on an AR or a bolt gun, and the built-in laser rangefinder reads to 1,312 yards right in the display.

Which Storm? The S2R is the lightweight 256 with a rangefinder. Step up to the S3R (384) for more detail, or the S6R (640) for the most reach.

Does it work in daylight? Yes, thermal reads heat not light, so it works day or night and finds bedded game in cover by day. Will it hold zero? 1000G recoil rated, good from .223 ARs to .308 bolt guns. 256 vs 384? The 256 is lighter and more affordable; step to 384/640 for more detail at distance.
