The Ionic 12V 60Ah is a lightweight, compact LiFePO4 deep cycle battery built for trolling motors, kayaks, and marine electronics. At just 16.7 lbs, it's 70% lighter than comparable lead-acid batteries while delivering 768Wh of usable energy with 99% depth of discharge. Built-in Bluetooth lets you monitor charge level, voltage, temperature, and cycle history right from your phone using the free Ionic app.
Features an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) with cold weather protection, cell balancing, short-circuit protection, and automatic low voltage/over voltage cutoff. This battery powers 12V trolling motors up to 55 lbs thrust. Many kayak and small boat anglers use this battery for all-day fishing. For 24V systems, wire two in series. For 36V, wire three in series.
How long will it last on a trolling motor?
Run time depends on thrust setting and conditions. At moderate speeds on a kayak trolling motor, expect 6-10+ hours. The Ionic Bluetooth app shows remaining capacity in real time so you always know where you stand.
Can I use my existing lead-acid charger?
You can use most standard lead-acid chargers that reach 14.4-14.6V and do NOT have a desulfation mode. For best results, use an Ionic LiFePO4-specific charger. Chargers below 13.6V will only charge to about 50%.
Is this battery waterproof?
It is water resistant but not fully submersible. It handles splashes and rain but should not be submerged.
