⌚ The Garmin tactix 8 AMOLED is Garmin's tactical GPS watch for hunters, shooters, military and law enforcement, built on a bright color touchscreen with preloaded topo maps, an Applied Ballistics solver and a built-in flashlight.
It does everything a top outdoor smartwatch does, then adds the tactical tools: Stealth mode stops storing and sharing your GPS position and shuts off wireless, Night Vision Goggle mode dims the screen for NVGs, a kill switch clears user data, and dual-position GPS shows two coordinate formats at once (like MGRS and lat/lon). Shooters get the Applied Ballistics Ultralight solver preloaded, plus waypoint projection, rucking and a stage timer.

- 47mm: fits smaller and average wrists, 73 g, up to 16 days smartwatch battery, 22mm QuickFit band.
- 51mm: bigger screen area and battery, 92 g, up to 29 days smartwatch battery, 26mm QuickFit band.

Runs dogs? This watch has Garmin's DogTrack feature. Pair it with a Garmin Alpha 300, 300i, 200 series, Alpha 10, Pro 550 Plus or Astro handheld and your dogs' distance, direction and status (running, on point, treed) show right on your wrist, with alerts, so the handheld can stay in your vest. The watch reads the handheld, not the collar, and works within about 15 feet of it.
