Garmin GPSMAP 1543/1643 Xsv Chartplotter
SKU:
Description
🎣 The big glass with the sounder built in — a 15" ultrawide or a full 16", both ready for live sonar.
These are the large-format xsv sonar combos. Every variant has a built-in sounder: 1kW traditional CHIRP plus Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü scanning sonar, with Panoptix and LiveScope support when you add the transducer. The 1643xsv is a 16" edge-to-edge IPS touchscreen; the 1543xsv is a 15" ultrawide IPS panel — 74% wider than a standard 9" plotter, with split-screen room to run charts and sonar side by side. Both preload Garmin Navionics+ mapping (region depending on variant), support the full Garmin Marine Network, and wire into engines, trolling motors, Power-Pole anchors and more through NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183 and OneHelm. The 1543xsv also carries SailAssist for sailors. None of these three ship with a transducer — you match it to your boat.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does any variant include a transducer? No. All three ship without one so you can match the transducer to your boat and how you fish. Call us for the right GT-series or LiveScope pairing.
1543xsv vs 1643xsv — how do I choose? The 1543xsv is a 15" ultrawide (great for split-screen in a wide dash), the 1643xsv is a 16" standard-ratio touchscreen. Sonar and networking are the same; it comes down to dash shape and screen preference.
Will it run LiveScope? Yes. All three support Panoptix and LiveScope. Add the LiveScope transducer (and module where required) separately.
Can it control my trolling motor and Power-Pole? Yes — networked with a Garmin Force trolling motor and compatible Power-Pole anchors, you get advanced boat-control features from the screen.
