⌚ The Garmin fenix 9 Pro AMOLED is the top of the fenix 9 line: a full titanium case, a 3,000-nit AMOLED screen and an optional inReach version with LTE and satellite messaging and SOS, now in all three sizes.
It has everything in the fenix 9, preloaded topo maps, 64 GB, multi-band GPS with SatIQ, a 40 m dive rating, speaker and mic, Garmin Pay and music, plus a dimmable flashlight with white, red or green light. The 51mm gets Garmin's first 1.5 inch AMOLED screen.
Which size do I need?
- 43mm: 1.3 inch screen, 62 g, up to 10 days smartwatch battery, 20mm band.
- 47mm: 1.4 inch screen, 78 g, up to 18 days, 22mm band.
- 51mm: 1.5 inch screen, 99 g, up to 31 days, 26mm band.
Standard or inReach?
- Standard: Bluetooth, ANT+ and Wi-Fi. Calls and texts go through your paired phone.
- inReach: adds LTE and satellite. Over LTE you get voice calls and texts with Garmin Messenger users, LiveTrack and weather. Over satellite you get text messaging, location check-ins, weather and interactive SOS to Garmin Response, with no phone on you. An active plan bought through Garmin is required, and coverage varies by region.
Leather band versions also include an extra silicone band.

Runs dogs? This watch has Garmin's DogTrack feature. Pair it with a Garmin Alpha 300, 300i, 200 series, Alpha 10, Pro 550 Plus or Astro handheld and your dogs' distance, direction and status (running, on point, treed) show right on your wrist, with alerts, so the handheld can stay in your vest. The watch reads the handheld, not the collar, and works within about 15 feet of it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a subscription for inReach?
Yes, LTE and satellite features need an active plan from Garmin. Without one it still works as a full fenix 9 Pro.
Fenix 9 Pro AMOLED or Pro Solar?
AMOLED for the brightest color screen and a 43mm option. Solar for the longest battery, up to 57 days on the 51mm.
Fenix 9 Pro vs fenix 8 Pro?
The 9 Pro has a titanium case and offers inReach in all three sizes. The 8 Pro offered inReach in 47 and 51mm only.
Will it show my dogs?
Yes, from a compatible Garmin Alpha or Astro handheld through DogTrack.
