It runs a 256x192 thermal core at 12µm with a 25mm lens and 3x base, real thermal detection for close-to-mid hog and predator work where most shots happen. The built-in laser rangefinder reads distance to 1,300 yards with a ballistic calculator.
Day or night. Thermal reads heat, not light, so the HS225R works in daylight too, finding hogs bedded in cover and shade, then everything warm after dark.
