Frequently Asked Questions

Why non-insulated?
Insulated boots get HOT in warm weather, feet sweat, blisters develop, hunter is miserable. Non-insulated boots ventilate better, keep feet cooler in 50-80°F conditions. Match boot insulation to expected temperature.

When to wear non-insulated vs insulated:
Non-insulated: early season (September-October), turkey season, warm-weather hog hunts, anywhere temps are above 45°F. Insulated: late-season deer hunting, cold-weather waterfowl, anywhere temps are below 45°F.

Why 17" knee-high?
Walking through wet grass, shallow water crossings, snow, mud, 17" keeps water and debris out of the boot. Critical for hunting in flooded fields, swamps, or wet weather.

Why rubber boots over leather?
Rubber: waterproof, scent-blocking (rubber doesn't absorb human/vehicle smell), easy cleaning. Leather: more breathable, traditional, harder to keep waterproof, absorbs scents. For deer hunting, rubber is preferred for the scent-blocking advantage.

Mossy Oak Bottomland pattern:
Bottomland is the original/classic Mossy Oak pattern, works for hardwood/timber environments. Effective for Eastern hardwoods, river bottoms, swamp hunting.

Warranty?
Muddy Outdoors standard manufacturer warranty against defects.
