About Dead Down Wind
Dead Down Wind is a leading hunter scent control brand. Their lineup of laundry detergents, body soaps, sprays, and scent control kits removes human odor without adding fragrance, letting hunters approach game without spreading detectable scent. Trusted by serious whitetail deer hunters and other game hunters where scent control matters.
Hunter Scent Control, Quick Reference
- Laundry Detergent, Wash hunting clothes scent-free (no fragrance residue).
- Body Soap, Pre-hunt shower with scent-eliminating soap.
- Spray, Final scent-elimination on boots, gear, body.
- Kits, Bundled multi-product setups at value pricing.
Why scent control matters: Whitetail deer have one of the most sensitive noses in nature. They smell perfume, deodorant, soap, fabric softener, gasoline, food residue from hundreds of yards downwind. Effective scent control = more shot opportunities.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's in a Super Slam Kit?
Multiple Dead Down Wind scent control products bundled together at value pricing. Typical kits include: laundry detergent, body soap, scent-eliminating spray, possibly hair/face wash. Verify exact contents on product details page.
Why a kit?
Effective scent control requires MULTIPLE products working together, laundry detergent for clothes + body soap for skin + scent spray for boots/equipment. Buying separately costs more than the bundle. Kits simplify the "complete scent control" decision.
Best for:
New hunters learning scent control basics. Gifts for hunters. Hunting party shared supplies. Anyone wanting "everything to start" without researching individual products.
Vs Black Premium 3-Piece Kit ($15)?
Both kits are $15, different product combinations. Verify which kit contents match your needs. The Super Slam may be the broader/general bundle; Black Premium may be the upgraded/premium tier bundle.
Authentic Dead Down Wind?
YES, CSO carries authentic Dead Down Wind product. Comes with full manufacturer warranty.
Use as a system:
Scent control works best as a SYSTEM, laundry detergent for clothes + body soap + scent spray. Single products help; the complete system maximizes scent elimination.
Warranty?
Dead Down Wind standard manufacturer warranty against defects.
Warranty
Dead Down Wind standard warranty. Military and First Responders are encouraged to use credentials in the cart section before checking out.
