Two-way satellite messaging via Iridium, interactive SOS to Garmin Response (24/7 global), location sharing and tracking, weather forecast retrieval, Garmin Messenger app connection. Hardware is built in, but satellite features need an active subscription.
Can I use the Alpha 300i without an inReach subscription?
Yes for tracking and training, identical to the Alpha 300. The satellite features (messaging, SOS) will not function without an active subscription.
