Updating Your Handhelds and Collars

Updates

Before you can update the handheld device or collar software, you must connect the handheld device (Connecting the Handheld Device to a Computer) or the collar (Connecting the Collar to a Computer) to the computer. You must update the software on the handheld device and collar separately. NOTE: Updating the software does not erase any of your data or settings. Go to www.garmin.com/products/webupdater. How to pair TT15 Collars with Alpha 100 Handheld

Pairing a collar to an Alpha 100: Tap Dog List Tap Add Dog Tap Yes Follow the on-screen instructions: With the collar off, press and hold the Power button on the collar until it emits two beeps (about 2 seconds), and then release. The status LED will flashgreen indicating the collar is ready to be paired. If desired, enter a name for the dog. Then touch check mark in the lower right to confirm. The collar is now successfully paired.

How To Charge Alpha Handheld

You should fully charge the battery before you use the device for the first time. Charging a fully depleted battery takes about 2 hours. Lift the weather cap . Plug the small end of the power cable into the mini-USB port on the device. Plug the other end of the power cable into an appropriate power source. The LCD display on the handheld device shows the current battery charge level. Charging is complete when the battery charge level icon stops flashing.

Installing A Memory (SD Card) Into Your Handheld

You can install a microSD memory card in the handheld device for additional storage or pre-loaded maps. Turn the D-ring counter-clockwise, and pull up to remove the cover. Remove the battery. Slide the card holder to the left and lift up. Place the memory card with the gold contacts facing down. Close the card holder. Slide the card holder to the right to lock it. Replace the battery and cover.
